How do I mute the languages I don't read?

Every language lives in its own topic inside the group. To quiet the ones you don't read:

• Mobile: long-press the topic and tap Mute—or open the topic, tap its name at the top, and turn notifications off.
• Desktop: right-click the topic and choose Mute.

Mute all but your language and your morning becomes one notification, not seven.

Why do I get several notifications at 9 AM?

The same briefing ships in 7 languages, each posted to its own topic at 9 AM (UTC+8). If more than one topic is unmuted, you'll hear from each of them. Muting the topics you don't read fixes this.

What's the voice message?

A ~1-minute audio digest of the day's top 3 stories, read aloud—perfect for a commute or a walk. The full text briefing (all 7 stories) is right there in your language's topic.

Is there a one-minute daily tech news audio briefing?

Yes—that's exactly what Daily Sip is. Every morning, the day's top tech stories are narrated as a ~1-minute audio briefing, one per language. Subscribe to the podcast feed and get it in any podcast app, or hear it in the group—where the full text briefing is posted alongside the audio in your language's topic.

What does the “↩️ encore” tag mean?

A story that also appeared in yesterday's briefing. We carry it over when it's still developing or deserves a second look—skip it if you already read it.

Where do s.sipr.cc links go?

Straight to the original article on its publisher's site. We shorten links to keep the briefing tidy and to count aggregate clicks for the stats page—we never see who clicked what.

How do you pick the stories?

Each morning an editor ranks the previous day's Hacker News front page for a busy reader—signal over noise, not a raw points dump. The stats page shows how our picks compare to the crowd's every week.

Which languages do you support? Can you add mine?

Yes—the topic history is the archive. Open your language's topic and scroll back, or use Telegram's search for the date you missed (for example, “Aug 15”).

What do you know about me?

No accounts, no email, no tracking pixels. We see the group's total member count and aggregate link clicks—never which member clicked what. Details in the Privacy Policy.
